Take in the fresh mountain air during the Salmon Fun Run & Walk, a 10K and 5K race that is part of the larger Oakridge-Westfir Tree Planting Festival. The 5K course is flat and suitable for rugged strollers; dogs are welcome too! About three miles of the 10K course is on dirt trail. Register on-site the day of the race at 7:30 a.m. before the run and walk begins at 8:30 a.m. A participant brunch will be held after the race.

The Oakridge-Westfir Tree Planting Festival, now celebrating its 67th anniversary, is one of the world's longest-running tree planting heritage events. It includes theater performances, community arts fair, parade, mini Olympics and more that celebrate the history and future of the Cascade Mountain towns.
